The traditional significance of our indigenous bamboo bow and arrow, which is central to our National Archery game faces a challenge due to the emergence of imported compound bows and arrows. Recognizing this, the esteemed late Dasho Ugyen Dorji, fondly referred to as "Dasho Rimp" took the initiative in 2005 to support and uphold our Traditional Archery by sponsoring this annual tournament.

In order to carry forward the cherished heritage of our esteemed Dasho, Phuentsholing Sports Association (PSA) in collaboration with Tashi Group announces the conduct of 14th Annual "Dasho Ugyen Dorji Memorial Open Traditional Archery Tournament".

The starting date will be with effect from 3rd September, 2023.

The attractive prizes are sponsored by Tashi Groups. Any interested participants may register along with entry fee of Nu. 15,000/- (Fiveteen Thousand only) per team along with the individual player name lists with ID card photo copies, which should be submitted latest by 3:00pm on 1st September, 2023.

The fixtures will be drawn on 1st September, 2023 at 3:30pm at PSA Secretariat Office (Football Stadium). Only two seeded players as per BIGSA rules will be allowed in each team and the team registration will be accepted only upon payment of entry fee along with team players list latest at the time of fixture draw.

Aspiring political candidates or any person affiliated with any of the political parties for the upcoming National Assembly election are not allowed to participate owing to restriction from ECB.

Teams are not allowed to seek sponsors or support from any of the political parties or party individuals for the upcoming National Assembly election failing which the team will be disqualified and entry fees forfeited and liable for legal action as mandated by ECB.
